Science Travel

Some of Zürich’s science can be seen without an invitation. Check opening hours before you go.

focusTerra (ETH Zurich)

focusTerra, ETH Zurich’s earth-sciences museum, is at Sonneggstrasse 5 on the central campus, and entry is free. It is usually open on weekdays and Sunday afternoons and closed on Saturdays. Its earthquake simulator can only be used on a one-hour guided tour.

The Fraumünster

On the bank of the Limmat, the Fraumünster is known for its stained-glass windows: a five-part cycle in the chancel and a rose window by Marc Chagall, and windows by Augusto Giacometti in the north transept.
